The JHK Kwaiback MK is the newest and greatest Kwaiback to date. Introduced in summer 2019, the MK5 incorporates new design changes that improve performance and function. Upgrades include an external stop pin, a detent that engages the blade at the stop pin track versus its own hole in the blade, an improved lock insert shape and a reduced number of hold-down screws, and improved lightening pockets for easier cleaning. Other features include Pivot Thrust Bearings, HRD (Hoback Roller Detent), Hardened Stainless Steel Lock Insert With Overtravel Prevention, Standard Sizes On All Screws For Ease Of Replacement and Cold Formed Bearing Races (Work-Hardened To Increase Bearing And Knife Life). All of this, partnered with the historic Kwaiback fit and finish we have come to expect from Hoback Knives.
