Wallets for the Essentials.
As many men know, wallets can become thick and uncomfortable causing many problems, from chaffing, sweating and sitting comfortably. It has become common place for a guy to carry a wallet almost 2 inches thick in his back, or sometimes front pocket. Most of this size is determined by the contents of the wallet, but the wallet material and thickness also contributes. Little do most guys know, there are a lot of wallets that are extremely thin and made from durable materials. Here at EDC Specialties we offer multiple wallet designs, all from American made manufacturers, that will help cut excess size and weight off your wallet without sacrificing durability. We’ll discuss these options and others that we will have available in the future.
1st option – Magpul DAKA – Essentials and Micro Wallet
These two wallet options represent the thinnest and most flexible on our list. Both wallets rely on you to eliminate unnecessary cards and cash to achieve an extremely low profile. The Micro wallet, which is the smallest of the two, is intended to carry 1-3 cards and a few bills. It is the ultimate minimalist wallet only slightly bigger then the cards themselves. It has just one pocket on the top to insert the cards. The Essentials wallet is designed for your essentials, which Magpul describes as three cards and three bills. This wallet has one pocket on the logo side and two on the back. The pockets on the essentials open towards the long side on the wallet unlike the micro. Here’s a complete list of features and specs for the two.

3rd option – Hitch and Timber – Card Caddy and Flat Jacket
If you’re looking for a more classic and old-fashioned styled EDC wallet hitch and timber is the way to go. The Card Caddy and Flat Jacket offer a thin profile made from extremely durable tanned leather.
The Card Caddy is unique in the sense that is combines a card carrier wallet with pockets for a thin multi-tool or Swiss army knife and a small pen. This is a great design as it keeps all your tools you already carry everyday into one contained holder. You may also fit 1-6 cards as well as the tools. The Flat Jacket is a straight foreword card holder. It is thin and durable with two pockets allowing you to hold up to 8 cards.
Both wallets are designed to be in you front pocket. By doing so they are made thin and smooth so they can easily be pulled out. Hitch and Tiber wallets are common amongst the EDC community for their style and unique features.
